New project in progress: a collaboration with nature
About me
Madelon van Vredendaal is a 21-yeard old photography student at Willem de Kooning Academy. “I use photography as an extension of myself, a tool to express my inner world. Through beauty—a profound and transformative force—I bring my ideals to life. With my lens, I aim to visualize how I experience the world around me, inspiring my audience to see from new perspectives.
I explore the unexpected and unseen that emerges during the photographic process through experimental photographic methods. Surrealism plays a central role in this. I seek to challenge beliefs about 'reality' and 'truth,' encouraging viewers to question the constructs they take for granted. What we perceive as truth is often a shared construct we’ve come to accept. In this way, my work becomes both a reflection and reinterpretation of reality—of the world around us and within ourselves.”
